Weekly Lessons
Students can take 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour lessons depending on their experience level and goals, with fundamentals in pitch, tone development, and technical facility central to each student’s individualized curriculum.
Rates for these lessons are $30 for 30 minutes, $45 for 45 minutes, and $60 for 1 hour lessons.
Choosing the right lesson length for your student depends on a couple different factors:
-
30 minute lessons are best for students who are new to the instrument, have been playing for 2 years or less, and/or haven't yet reached 8th grade.
-
Once a student reaches 8th grade and/or begins their 3rd year of playing, they can increase to 45 minute lessons in order to cover more techniques and repertoire as their skills grow. Once a student begins 45 minute lessons we can consider reed-making and the tuition track if that fits their goals.
-
1 hour lessons are best for students who want to continue making music in college and beyond. Pursuing a college degree in music is not a requirement, but 1 hour lessons at the Tuition Track are very highly recommended if that is a path your student is considering.
